functionality and innovation as our best-selling 5.11 Tactical
Short, 5.11 Women’s Academy Shorts are also preferred by law
enforcement, military and fire professionals for both on and
off-duty wear. 5.11 Academy Shorts comes in 3 colors, with size
ranges to fit virtually everyone. Like the 5.11 Tactical Pant, the
sturdy, seven-pocket 5.11 Academy Shorts are complete with 5.11’s
trademark rear slash pockets and utility strap.
Functionality
With a shorter length and a different pocket layout than the 5.11
Tactical Short, the pockets on the 5.11 Academy Short are strong and
roomy. The shorter length provides greater flexibility and movement
during vigorous activity. These shorts are great for bicycle patrol
range.
Storage
Front pockets on the 5.11 Women’s Academy Shorts are strong and
roomy; inverted pleats on the cargo pockets remain flat until needed
for a neat, professional appearance. The thigh pockets are arranged
to carry cell phones, magazines, or utility knives. The extra deep
rear slash pockets are easily accessed and hold extended mags, a
baton, or a 15” flashlight. You can also use the utility strap to
secure a flashlight or store your ear protection at the range.
Durability
5.11 Academy Shorts utilizes a proprietary weave that binds in on
itself to prevent unraveling. For added durability, the
magazine/cell phone pocket, and corners of the slash pockets are
lined with Cordura® nylon. The double reinforced seat provides
enhanced abrasion protection. Double and triple-needle construction
is utilized throughout the shorts along with forty-five bartacks in
high-stress areas.
Hardware
On 5.11 Academy Shorts, we use only genuine, locking-flange YKK®
zippers and quality PRYM® snaps, both of which are top-of-the-line
in the industry.
Fit
As with the 5.11 Tactical Pants, the specialized fit of the 5.11
Academy Short is a closely-guarded secret based on a tried-and-true
